Hello My Beautiful (and Patient) Berlin Natural Bakery Family! 

I pray your holiday week was filled with joy and wonder and peace and some really spectacular food! I know we definitely had a warm feast that we're all grateful for. Most of our staff had nearly all week off last week so we have returned this morning nice and rested and ready to get baking! 

I am sooooo happy to be able to jump on here and share the good news - the pizza crusts are now back in stock. To apologize for the delay and to hopefully make it up to you, we have brought them back via a 6 pack deal. The 6 pack is published now and will actually be our January special! 

Thank you so so so much for your patience as we have been digging ourselves out from under a huge sale and then tough-to-manuever- holiday schedule. We are all very excited to return to normal and get back to the standards we have always expected of ourselves. 

May you have a lovely transition from 2024 to 2025 and I pray that the year ahead be one for the books for us all!

Greetings Berlin Natural Bakery Family! 

The holiday schedule is a doozy this year so we thought we'd share it with you so there are no surprises! 😁

As you probably already know, Christmas is on a Wednesday this year and so that complicates the lives of this little bakery that only bakes on Monday-Thursday. 😳 So after much discussion - taking into consideration the brutal last few weeks - we have finally landed on a holiday schedule that we feel good about! 

This is always a super tricky time of year for us so please bear with us as we do the best we can to keep up and ship out all we can. 🙏

For those of you far from us - think West Coast - the last day we'll be able to ship your order before the new year is Monday December 16th unless you call and expedite your order (which does cost extra, I'm afraid). Otherwise, all west coast orders will resume shipping on Monday January 6th. 

So please keep this in mind as you place your orders. We had been at the mercy of having enough hands to help us get through the busiest time of year and now we are at the mercy of the calendar!  But our hearts are for our staff to get good, peaceful, restful and joyful time off with their families over the holiday. And for everyone to return refreshed and refocused on our mission at hand! 💪

As always - thank you for all of the grace and kindness you have extended to us as we continue to grow and learn. This has been both humbling and equipping and I believe we are all looking forward to a 2025 of wisdom and growth! 🙂

Hello Family!

This is not the heartfelt Thanksgiving blog I had wanted to write but I wanted to give all of you waiting on your orders some information and to offer my most sincere apologies for the delay. I honestly feel absolutely terrible about the way the last few weeks have gone and I just want to give you the scoop so you understand our challenges.

Right after our largest sale of the year we lost a handful of employees at the worst time imaginable. It was due to personal issues and car troubles and more and so we went into "let's get it done" mode even though we are short handed. Honestly, I can't say it enough, every single person at Berlin Natural Bakery has been giving their absolute all in trying to get bread baked, packed and shipped and it's been incredibly hard as we do everything by hand and quite frankly, we need more hands!

And then, right at a critical moment, we ran out of White Spelt flour! Being completely transparent, this was my fault. I took over ordering the flour and grain and as it's my first Cyber sale with this responsibility. I did not have enough on hand for the humongous spike! A painful lesson learned, no doubt.

But even with everyone here going above and beyond, we are more behind than what we would like to be and certainly more behind than anyone is comfortable with. We know you hold us to a high standard and quite frankly we do the same for ourselves and it's been heartbreaking to not be further along in this process.

Alrighty folks! It's basically that time of year! We are preparing and stocking up and bracing ourselves for our biggest online sale of the year! 🎉

If you are new to the family, let me share some of our history and what you can expect from the brand new Cyber Wednesday. 

When we first tried doing a Cyber Monday on the actual date (the Monday after Thanksgiving) we ran into a bunch of issues.

The first being that we had less time to bake because of the Thanksgiving holiday.

The second being that because tons of companies did Cyber Monday at the exact same time, the shippers like UPS and FedEx fell significantly behind in their deliveries which is catastrophic for a bakery that doesn't use preservatives!

The third being that we do have a few employees who like to take off around the holidays which we totally support - it just leaves us a little shorthanded on a HUGE sale week. 

So then we tried to have a Cyber Monday a few weeks ahead which actually went better than our first tries. But even still, we ended up a little handcuffed because we had orders pile in all day Monday which left us scrambling, trying to get the orders processed and shipped out in a timely manner that week. 

This brings us to this year's Cyber WEDNESDAY! By having this sale on a Wednesday, it means we get a few days to get the orders processed and organized. We can get everything shipped out in a strategic manner starting on Monday November 11th which should mean a lot less questions and a pretty great turnaround! 

We feel we've done our due diligence to make this sale possible while also giving us a chance to not live under an avalanche for longer than necessary! 😲

So mark your calendars and get ready! On midnight on Wednesday November 6th, you can expect to get an email that contains a discount code which will activate your Cyber Wednesday savings in the cart. DO NOT FORGET THAT CODE AT CHECKOUT BECAUSE WE CANNOT ADD IT AFTER THE FACT. And also, make sure you meet the minimum for discounted shipping as we've had people confused about that in the past as well.

Every year when we stand on the the brink of this sale, I can't help but feel so incredibly humbled. 🥰 The response we get to this sale is absolutely staggering - every one growing larger than the one preceding it. We're grateful. We're amazed. And this year - I think we're ready! ❤️

Finally, please be aware, every phone call and email we get slows us down by... a lot! So just when you are getting ready to email us or call us about where your order is, you can pretty much bet it is shipping that day! So hold off on questions as long as you can so we can do our best to make sure everyone gets their orders as fast as possible!
