October Bread of the Month: Country Italian Spelt Bread
At first glance you may think that October's Bread of the Month highly resembles our Classic White Spelt Bread. But you would be mistaken! While they are both made with our Unbleached White Spelt Flour, the similarities end there!
This small loaf of white spelt bread is made with a poolish - a technique that helps produce a uniquely flavored and moist loaf of bread. One look at a single slice of this bread and you will immediately understand what we're talking about!
Its slices are dense - with an incredible flavor and unmistakable texture. It's this texture that allows it to toast thoroughly and evenly.
Don't be surprised if you see a few holes in this bread. It is very common when using a poolish and we feel it just simply adds to its uniqueness!
Perfect for PB&Js and Grilled Cheese sandwiches - this is a loaf of bread your entire family will enjoy!
