Your Order Update & More!

Hello Family!

This is not the heartfelt Thanksgiving blog I had wanted to write but I wanted to give all of you waiting on your orders some information and to offer my most sincere apologies for the delay. I honestly feel absolutely terrible about the way the last few weeks have gone and I just want to give you the scoop so you understand our challenges.

Right after our largest sale of the year we lost a handful of employees at the worst time imaginable. It was due to personal issues and car troubles and more and so we went into "let's get it done" mode even though we are short handed. Honestly, I can't say it enough, every single person at Berlin Natural Bakery has been giving their absolute all in trying to get bread baked, packed and shipped and it's been incredibly hard as we do everything by hand and quite frankly, we need more hands!

And then, right at a critical moment, we ran out of White Spelt flour! Being completely transparent, this was my fault. I took over ordering the flour and grain and as it's my first Cyber sale with this responsibility. I did not have enough on hand for the humongous spike! A painful lesson learned, no doubt.

But even with everyone here going above and beyond, we are more behind than what we would like to be and certainly more behind than anyone is comfortable with. We know you hold us to a high standard and quite frankly we do the same for ourselves and it's been heartbreaking to not be further along in this process.

So yes, I promise that we do have your order. We have a huge list of orders that need to ship yet but I am not sure if we will be able to get it to you before Thanksgiving this week. We are planning on shipping everything we possibly can but I can't make any promises as every day has been different with its own set of challenges. If you would like us to refund your order, we can certainly do that. I can also offer a discount on your next order for the inconvenience and delay. 

I apologize for this. I know this is not in any way what you have come to expect from us.  I am sad I do not have better, more concrete news for any of you but I felt you deserved the truth as it's what we have committed ourselves to - doing what's right even when it isn't easy.

Absolutely love your product and now that I’ve gotten to know your company, love it even more. As a small business owner myself, I know all too well about the things you have gone through. We have received our 6 loaves and are set to order another large order, fully understanding it may take you time to process that order. That’s ok! I wish I could get it from a local store, but I will happily wait and get on a regular schedule with you to receive such a great and healthy product for my family. Marry Christmas Nicole!

I would still like to place an order and am happy to get it when production happens. I am so touched by your honesty and integrity I want to he part of the solution and not add to a problem. I pray you find more, reliable employees and these growing pangs resolve in time. What you are doing is a beautiful things as we Americans recoil from the poison we have been accustomed to. We haven’t bought bread in a very long time due to the additives we know are not healthy. It just makes me sick, literally. I have hope that we will have you as a supplier of wholesome bread soon and are happy to wait our turn. God Bless.

I am not a customer as of yet but was planning to place an order when I read your note. After reading it I wished I lived closer so I could at least help you in your time of great need! I live in Florida. Thank you for your honesty and integrity, it’s hard to come by these days. Your bread will be worth the wait! God Bless you and your business.
